Building Maintenance Technician
My client is a provider of Building Services & Facilities Management, specialists in the provision of bespoke technical services to the meet the needs of a varied client base to include commercial, corporate and retail environments respectively.
A Building Maintenance Technician is required to perform building fabric maintenance services throughout a retail facility located in Bradford.
The Building Maintenance Technician will carry out planned & reactive building maintenance to include (not limited to) lamping, ballast changes, water temperature checks, basic plumbing, basic joinery, replacement of fixtures/fittings, repairs to doors, windows & locks along with tiling, painting & decorating and assisting with moves & changes.
The Building Maintenance Technician will perform all building and facilities maintenance in line with health & safety requirements, RAMS & Permits respectively. This position may also include escorting contractors that visit the facility.
Please Note: This is a site based position and a vehicle is NOT included.
Hold relevant building maintenance/facilities qualification and/or relevant background and experience i.e. City & Guilds and/or NVQ equivalent and/or a relevant building/facilities trade
Experienced in carrying out all-round building/facilities maintenance i.e. lamping, ballast changes, water temperature checks, basic joinery, plastering, tiling & painting & decorating
Experienced in carrying out building maintenance & facilities activities within commercial buildings i.e. office accommodation, retail and/or corporate environments. Previous experience of working within a retail environment would be highly advantageous due to the nature of this facility although isn't essential.
Possess knowledge and experience of health & safety when performing the abovementioned duties.
