Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer

My client is a provider of M&E building services engineering & Facilities Management, specialists in the provision of tailor-made and bespoke mechanical, HVAC and electrical building services maintenance and installations, to a client base that includes Retail, Supermarket and Commercial environments.

A Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer is required to carry out PPM, reactive, servicing, fault finding and repair to air conditioning systems and associated equipment to include VRF's, VRV's and Split along with general maintenance to AHU & FCU.

The Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer will carry out air conditioning maintenance to A/C systems and equipment within a number of Retail & Supermarket environments located throughout the North West region.

Although predominately a North West based position, there may be a requirement to travel to client facilities that are located in the West Yorkshire as an example, as required, so a flexible, "can do" approach is essential.

In addition to the main A/C aspect of the position, there may be the need to carry out general building maintenance to include basic electrical i.e. emergency light tests, basic plumbing and joinery - "the services of a building"

Candidate Requirements

*City & Guilds F-Gas (Cat 1)
*City & Guilds Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Parts I & II and/or industry equivalent
*Experienced in Air Conditioning Servicing & Maintenance i.e. PPM, reactive, servicing, fault finding and repair of A/C systems i.e. VRF/VRV & Splits
*Experienced in working within Retail and/or Supermarket environments would be highly advantageous
*Driving License (Maximum of 6 Penalty Points)
*The ability pass a DBS check
*Possess a flexible, multi-skilled, "can-do" attitude/approach
*The ability to multi-task and perform general building maintenance as required i.e. emergency lighting, plumbing & building fabric.

Additional Information

*Standby payment is included within the base salary.
*45 hour working week with 40 hours being worked as core hours & 5 hours per week retained for the standby/on call week - 20 hours every 4 weeks.
*20 hours is reduced at the same rate as overtime - 1.5 Monday - Friday & Double Time Saturday & Sunday.
*Once banked hours are used overtime is paid.
*All travel is paid for on-call & overtime.
*Company Vehicle - Van
