Site Engineer / Senior Site Engineer | Groundworks & Civils)

We're working with a well-established, family-owned groundworks and civil engineering contractor known for delivering high-quality industrial, retail, and infrastructure projects for leading Tier 1 contractors.

Due to the nature of the work there is extensive travel.

With a strong reputation built on quality, integrity, and innovation, they're now looking to bring in a Site Engineer / Senior Site Engineer to support their growing pipeline of work.

The Role

You'll play a key role on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to spec.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading setting out and dimensional control across projects
  • Use of EDM and surveying equipment
  • Managing QA processes, including ITPs, audits, and reporting
  • Overseeing material and product testing
  • Supporting (and deputising for) the Site Manager
  • Supervising and mentoring junior engineers
  • Coordinating with subcontractors, designers, and suppliers
  • Ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance
  • Keeping accurate as-built records and survey data

What We're Looking For

  • Experience as a Site Engineer or Senior Site Engineer
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and regulations
  • Skilled in setting out, surveying, and QA processes
  • Familiar with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
  • A proactive mindset with strong communication and organisation skills

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction (or equivalent experience)
  • CSCS Card
  • Additional tickets (e.g. Temporary Works, Confined Space) are a bonus
