Facilities Assistants - Cleaning/Catering/Portering- Bath

We are recruiting for X6 Facilities Assistants to work on the soft services team at a hospital in Bristol, the work is carrying out cleaning, catering and porter duties.

Key responsibilities of the role are below

The cleaning element of the role will include:

  • Day to day cleaning of a variety of areas, such as, staff and public amenities, offices, meeting and training spaces, clinical outpatient areas and clinical inpatients areas as per cleaning schedules that enable us to be compliant with NHS Cleaning Standard.
  • Ad hoc and periodic cleaning as per NHS Cleaning Standards such as high level cleans, carpet cleaning, rotary wash, external jet washing of pathways, bins and fleet vehicles
  • Reactive cleaning such as Deep Cleans, spills and leaks

The catering element of the role will include:

  • Ward Kitchen food and drink service
  • Catering block food preparation and management

The Portering element of the role will include:

  • Stock control
  • Goods in services
  • Ward Clean downs
  • Transportation between sites of equipment and supplies, using company van

You will also be required to participate in training as directed by the Facilities Team Leader. This would include training in cleaning techniques and mandatory training such as Fire Safety, Moving & Handing, COSHH, and Infection Control.

It is essential that candidates have an enhanced DBS (this must be dated in the last 12 months) and that you are flexible and reliable. To have this job you must have food hygiene level 2 and if you haven't got it already then we could send you a link to complete it online, the course will take a couple of hours to complete online and it costs around £15.

We are looking for candidates that are hard working, committed, flexible, reliable and that have got experience working in a catering/cleaning/portering role in a commercial environment.

The shifts will be 7am - 5pm and 10am - 8pm and with 30 minute break so 9.5 hours work for each shift. 4 days on and 4 days off and the jobs are long term for 3 months + and with a good chance of being made permanent if all goes well.

Our client is a major soft services facilities provider.

The pay rates are

Week Days - Up to £15.13p/h inc. hol. pay

Saturdays - Up to ££19.67p/h inc. hol. pay

Sundays - Up to £22.70p/h inc. hol. pay
