Grounds Maintenance Operative
Pay Rate :£16.07 per hour
We are looking for a reliable Grounds Maintenance Operative to join a mobile maintenance team. You'll be working across a variety of sites within a local region, helping to keep outdoor spaces tidy, safe, and well maintained throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general grounds maintenance, including grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming, weeding, and planting.
- Complete seasonal tasks such as leaf clearance, gritting, and snow clearance when required.
- Safely operate a range of grounds maintenance equipment, including mowers, strimmers, and blowers.
- Follow site-specific schedules and instructions to maintain high standards of work.
- Communicate professionally with customers and members of the public.
- Use a mobile app to update job statuses and upload photos of completed work.
Requirements
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or gardening is preferred.
- Basic plant knowledge and practical horticultural skills.
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
- PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates are desirable.
Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 7:00am - 4:00pm (hours may vary seasonally)
Contract
- Immediate start available.
- Initial contract until the end of October, with the opportunity for a permanent position subject to business requirements.
