Team Leader - Grounds Maintenance - Ware/SG

We are seeking an experienced Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to join a leading horticultural and grounds maintenance company based in the Ware area.

Location: Bristol

Rate: £15 - £16.80 p/h (this includes Hol Pay)

Working Hours : 6am - 3.30pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team of operatives on a range of maintenance contracts

  • Tasks include:

      • Laying out plants on site according to the plan

      • Verifying correct species, sizes, and quantities before planting

      • Preparing soil and planting beds to specification

      • Installing trees, shrubs, and plants at proper depth and spacing

      • Staking, mulching, and watering plants correctly

      A planting scheme focuses on the overall design intent, such as:

      • Plant balance, spacing, and visual flow

      • Seasonal interest and plant compatibility

      • Long-term growth and maintenance needs

Requirements:

  • PA1/PA6 certifications - Desired

  • Reading Plans and installing landscaping.

  • Proven experience in a similar supervisory or team leader role

  • Full UK driving licence - essential
