PPM Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Head Chef to join our client's team.
Position: Head Chef
Pay Rate: £21.29 inc Holiday
Hours: 40 hours per week
Job Type: Permanent
Location: Royston
The Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Head Chef to lead the kitchen team and ensure a high standard of food preparation, presentation and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the kitchen team on a day-to-day basis
- Plan and oversee food preparation and service
- Ensure food is prepared and presented to a consistently high standard
- Manage stock levels, ordering and kitchen supplies
- Maintain excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards
- Ensure the kitchen is clean, organised and compliant with regulations
- Support and train junior members of the kitchen team
- Monitor food costs and minimise waste
- Work closely with management to deliver an excellent service
About You
- Previous experience working as a Head Chef or in a senior kitchen role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations
- Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
- Reliable, organised and professional
Pay Rate: £21.29 inc Hol per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
