The Role

Leading Carpentry and Joinery Company based in Manchester serving the North West of England working with leading Tier 1 contractors and end users.

We are seeking an experienced, organised and hands-on Joinery Site Manager to join an established team specialising in high-quality bespoke joinery installations across both residential and commercial projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced joinery installation professional looking to take ownership of projects from delivery through to final installation and handover. You will be responsible for coordinating installation teams, managing site activities, liaising with clients and contractors, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in joinery installation, ideally across high-end residential fit-outs and commercial interiors, with excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage site operations while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee joinery installation projects across residential and commercial sites, ensuring delivery in line with agreed programmes and specifications.
  • Lead, coordinate and supervise installation teams and subcontractors.
  • Plan labour requirements, materials, deliveries, equipment and installation schedules.
  • Ensure bespoke joinery is installed accurately and to the required quality standards.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, plans and installation instructions.
  • Liaise professionally with clients, main contractors, site managers and other trades.
  • Conduct site inspections and surveys to confirm readiness for installation.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues and unexpected site challenges.
  • Monitor project progress, report delays and implement solutions to keep installations on schedule.
  • Maintain excellent health and safety standards across all sites.
  • Complete site paperwork, progress reports, snagging lists and handover documentation.
  • Inspect completed installations and ensure any snagging issues are resolved promptly.
  • Coordinate with the Project Director to ensure joinery, fittings and materials are prepared and delivered in accordance with project requirements.
  • Maintain a professional approach when representing the company and managing client relationships.

Essential Requirements

  • Several years' experience in joinery installation across residential and/or commercial projects.
  • Experience working on high-end bespoke residential fit-outs and commercial interior projects would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience supervising or managing joinery installation teams.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and installation plans.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Confident communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and contractors.
  • A proactive, practical approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • A strong understanding of site health and safety requirements.
  • Reliable, punctual and capable of taking ownership of projects from start to finish.
  • A positive, hands-on attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • SMSTS, CSCS Card and First Aid

The Ideal Candidate

You will be a practical and motivated professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional joinery installations across a varied portfolio of residential and commercial projects. You will be comfortable managing site teams, coordinating with other trades and maintaining high standards of workmanship within demanding environments, from bespoke residential properties to commercial interiors.

If you have the experience, organisational ability and leadership skills to deliver joinery projects to an exceptional standard, we would welcome your application
